LIAM'S FANCY: A NIGHT IN THE PUB
Dan Cummins: vocals, banjo, mandolin, guitar
Beverly Buchanan: accordion

I must admit being a little biased about this one, I used to play in Baltimore with Dan Cummins as part of the band Ellis Island. Dan is a delightful man and a well of songs and stories. His wife Beverly learned B/C accordion from Billy McComiskey and her playing is recognized by those in the know as continuing the legacy of the late great Sean McGlynn. Together as Liam's Fancy, the couple plays the kind of homegrown music one can hear at Irish pubs around the country, expertly played but without pretention, entertaining but not gimmicky. Dan's renditions of the two Ralph McTell songs "Clare to Here" and "Streets of London" have become favorites in and around Lexington KY, where the couple resides, with the Irish working on local horse farms.
