The legendary band's legendary first album, recorded in October 1975, and featuring Tommy Peoples as the band's fiddle player. From the the strummed introduction to "The Kesh Jig" on, every single tune, song, and indeed their arrangements have become so familiar to those of us who have been following Irish traditional music since the 1970s that playing one of them at a session is like quoting from a great author. Although the band's sound changed somewhat when Kevin Burke replaced Tommy Peoples the following year and the arrangements became more polished and sophisticated on subsequent albums, this is the one which changed the course of Irish music.
