Vincent Broderick is a well-known flute player from Loughrea, in East Co. Galway, and the composer of such great tunes as "Midsummer's Night," "The Haunted House," "The Crock of Gold," "The Coachman's Whip," and so on, many of which were published in the first volume of "The Turoe Stone Collection." Here are 50 more tunes by Broderick. jigs, reels, hornpipes, barndances, etc, waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by traditional players. This includes a set of 6 tunes which form "Ward's Eviction Suite," inspired by a local event. The well designed book includes a brief biography of Broderick, with some old photographs. Also included is a 52-track CD, each tune being played (on flute and fiddle) individually and at a moderate pace. The last two track are Broderick's introduction of the Suite and his performing it.
