VARIOUS: THE SECOND JIMMY McHUGH MEMORIAL CONCERT
A lovely, if perhaps somewhat unequal (a couple of band tracks are a bit rough), live recording made at the second in a series of annual concerts celebrating the musical achievements of Co. Tyrone fiddle player and composer and long-time Glasgow resident Jimmy McHugh (1930-1999). Some mighty music in particular from fiddle players Eileen O'Brien (Tipperary) and Brid Harper (Donegal), accordion players Lar Gavin (Clare) and Nuala Hehir, recent All-Ireland champion, Roscommon flute player Patsy Hanly, and singer Deirdre Scanlan, now with the band Solas.
