VARIOUS: H-BLOCK
Originally released in 1980 in support of the cause of the hunger strikers at the Long Kesh prison, this short album comprises four great instrumental tracks by Matt Molloy (flute), Noel Hill (concertina) and Tony Linnane (fiddle), and piper Dan Dowd playing the air "Taimse I mo Chodladh," with accompaniments by Donal Lunny (bouzouki), as well as a couple of songs performed by Mick Hanly and Christy Moore, and two poems written by prisoners and smuggled out of the prison. This is more of a historical item, but I do think the instrumentals are worth hearing.
