Nevertheless, considering that it consists of a 4-CD set and a hefty booklet of historical notes, all at a very good price, it is a handy introduction to the world of early recordings of Irish traditional music, with selections from the great masters of the past, Michael Coleman, James Morrison, Paddy Killoran, Patsy Touhey, John McKenna, William Mullaly, the Flanagan brothers, etc, etc.
