LEO ROWSOME: CLASSICS OF IRISH PIPING
Leo Rowsome: uilleann pipes
A great collection (24 tracks) of the Dublin master piper's cherished recordings from the 78 era. Although he died in 1970, Rowsome remains a dominant figure in the history of Irish piping and pipe-making, in particular because of his teaching a whole generation of Irish pipers while holding classes at the Dublin School of Music. The recordings included here were made between 1925 and the late 1940s, both in London and Dublin.
