MICK O'BRIEN: MAY MORNING DEW
Mick O'Brien: uilleann pipes, tinwhistle
Terry Crehan: fiddle
Mick Giblin: guitar
Gary O'Briain: mandocello, keyboards
Seamus Brett: piano, keyboards

Mick O'Brien's control of tone and timing is close to perfection, but his playing has no less soul for it. Some variety is added as O'Brien switches to whistle on some tracks and is sometimes joined by Terry Crehan on fiddle, with occasional guitar, mandocello, or piano accompaniment. The emphasis is more on dance tunes here, with some wonderful rarities like Junior Crehan's hornpipe "Her Golden Hair Hanging Down Her Back" and his reels "Farewell to Miltown Malbay" and "West Clare Railway." Yet, O'Brien's rendition of the simple air "May Morning Dew" is a highlight of the album..
