LUNASA
This is this exciting band's very first release, when Lunasa was Michael McGoldrick (flute, whistle), John McSherry (uilleann pipes), Sean Smyth (fiddle), Donogh Hennessey (guitar), and Trevor Hutchinson (double bass). The lads rock through a selection of traditional and recently composed tunes arranged with that unique touch which has become their trademark. It's not exactly pure-drop traditional music, but then neither was the Bothy Band, and they sure made an impression. Lunasa may well have taken over where the Bothies left off.
