THE LONDON LASSES AND PETE QUINN
Bernie Conneely: banjo
Elaine Conwell: fiddle
Karen Ryan: fiddle, tinwhistle
Sharon Whelton: flute, tinwhistle
Sue Cullen: vocals
Grace Kelly: tinwhistle
Pete Quinn: piano

A very good quartet of female musicians from... you guessed it, London. The ensemble sound is tight and energetic, thanks in part to Conneely's excellent banjo playing, and individual contributions by the other lead players are very good as well. On the other hand, Pete Quinn's piano accompaniments, which are quite high in the mix, sound somewhat intrusive at times, as if they were meant not to be missed, not my favorite way of doing things. Terrific singing by guest Sue Cullen, and nice whistle playing by Grace Kelly.
