BRENDAN LARRISSEY: UP THE MOY ROAD
A fine fiddle player who has recorded with the group Arcady and has made one earlier solo album, Brendan Larrissey has produced another excellent CD, with well-matched bouzouki accompaniments by Mike Considine. Some tracks feature rather well-known tunes like "The High Caul Cap" and "Banish Misfortune," but Larrissey, transposing to less usual keys or finding new ways to render the melodies, makes you rediscover them.
