ROBBIE HANNAN: TRADITIONAL IRISH MUSIC PLAYED ON THE UILLEANN PIPES
Robbie Hannan: uilleann pipes

A remarkable album of uilleann piping by one of the acknowledged contemporary masters of the instrument. From Co. Down, Hannan has developed an amazing command of the intricate "tight" (staccato) style of piping, which he puts to use here on a variety of tunes, many coming from the Donegal tradition of which he is fond. Hannan performs on a set of pipes pitched in B and made c. 1800 by one of the Kennas. Unaccompanied throughout.
