CARMEL GUNNING: AROUND ST. JAMES' WELL
Carmel Gunning: tinwhistle, vocals
Neil Mulligan: uilleann pipes
Vincent Harrison: fiddle
Mark Kelly: guitar
Eric Doyle, Ronald Flanagan: bodhran

Carmel Gunning's second solo CD is very similar to her first, down to the understated accompaniments by with Altan guitar player Mark Kelly. Gunning is an agile player and skilled composer, as well a pleasant singer. An interesting addition (if somewhat curious, since Carmel doesn't play on those) to the album is the couple of tracks on which piper Neil Mulligan and fiddle player Vincent Harrison play in duet.
