PADDY GLACKIN & ROBBIE HANNAN: SEIDEAN SI
Paddy Glackin: fiddle
Robbie Hannan: uilleann pipes
Although with a sound very different from that Glackin achieved with Paddy Keenan on their classic "Doublin'" album, this is a great duet album in its own right, due in part to Hannan's complex and fascinating piping and to the honeyed sound of his B Kenna set, but also to the two musicians' common love for Donegal music and particularly that of the late John Doherty. The solo--including a remarkable "Blackbird" by Glackin--and duet playing by the two musicians is unaccompanied throughout.
