Fiddlesticks is a group of fiddle players (one also plays piano on some of the tracks) recruited among the music students of University College Cork by Donegal-born fiddler Dr. Liz Doherty. On this enjoyable recording, the group performs in lively fashion an ecletic mix of tunes--many from the Cape Breton and Scottish traditions--in unison or with parallel harmonies.
