MARTIN CONNOLLY & MAUREEN GLYNN: BACK TO BROOKLYN
Brother of famous Clare fiddler Seamus Connolly, Martin is a powerful B/C accordion player whose previous recording was the 1987 LP "The Fort of Kincora," also featuring his wife, fiddle and piano player Maureen Glynn. This long (20 tracks) CD, released after the tragic death of Maureen Glynn, consists of recordings made with her throughout the 1990s. Additional tracks feature the great melodeon playing of Martin's son Damien, as well as a group of Glynn's former students. An excellent and emotionally charged album.
