CHULRUA: BAREFOOT ON THE ALTAR
Chulrua are accordion master Paddy O'Brien, Tim Britton on uilleann pipes, flute, and whistle, and Pat Egan on guitar and vocals. I like the approach to recording chosen by the band, live, all musicians playing together, with no artificial effects added. It produces a performance that is genuine, dynamic, intimate, and immensely enjoyable for all these reasons.
