JOHN CARTY & BRIAN McGRATH: THE CAT THAT ATE THE CANDLE
John Carty: banjo, fiddle
Brian McGrath: piano, banjo

Carty and McGrath are both extraordinary players of the 4-string banjo, and while Carty displays similar skill on the fiddle, McGrath, who was the original banjo player with Four Men and a Dog, is also an acomplished accompanist on the piano. Both have recorded often since this 1994 release, Carty with the band At the Racket, and McGrath with Frankie Gavin and De Dannan in particular.
