O'Toole, a young Dublin journalist who, as a producer of a documentary on the band, was partly responsible for the 2003 Planxty reunion, tells it all, from the early years of the musicians involved, to the successes and the trials--some extracts quoted from Irvine's road diaries are positively depressing. An easy and absorbing read.
